3 star This book was ok. one of the things that I didn’t like about the book was how much our main character Mari kept bringing up her pregnancy. I know this book was only 59 pages but it still felt like a lot. the mystery was ok very simple but not bad.

                                                                                                                                                5 star This volume of cat’s cafe definitely hits home for me because I too deal with anxiety which is a big part of this comic and how asking for help is really important. Making friends helps you feel not alone. When you have friends you feel better knowing that you have people who love and care about you and that makes all the difference. This is a very important book for people who need to know their not alone in their feelings.          

                                                                                 5 star One of the things I love about this book is how different it is from the original movie, which feels like an acid trip. In this book, we have duel perspectives. This is something I really like to see in books. Maddie, aka the mad hatter, and Noah, are both trying to save their sisters from really bad people. I like the fact that In this book the mad hatter is a woman and not a man which I think is very fun. The banter between Maddie and Noah is amazing, which I think helped build the sexual tension between the two of them. I really like the relationships between the four brothers and their stepmother. They all really love each other. I appreciate the way Gage is super patient with Niki. 5 star I really liked the way this book tackled the topic of multiple personality disorder. The art style in this graphic novel was stunning it also helped the reader differentiate between all of the different personalities that Elle has throughout this book. There is also a subplot that is a mystery surrounding Elle's family. I can not wait to read the next volume from this series. I am super excited!!!

Release Date May 26, 2020 I think this is a super-friendly comic book for children of all age groups; especially, beginners who are first starting to learn how to read. The story does a great job of hitting on some pretty difficult topics; such as depression, the feeling of loneliness, and the importance of true friendship. Throughout the book, the reader is introduced to Cat, a coffee shop owner. Cat takes a lot of pride in providing top-notch service for all the guests who look at the coffee shop as a safe haven and as the epicenter for the growth of new budding friendships. Cat hires the first employee, Rabbit, who really looks up to Cat as a mentor.  The book is broken up with many activities along the way, which not only stimulates the mind but makes things more fun and interesting for young readers. The creativity and artistic flow of the illustrations add to the overall experience and enjoyment of the story.

Release Date March 17, 2020 One of my favorite characters was; of course, Manpachi! He is the most adorable cub ever; I want to wrap him up and hug him. Lol, what I enjoyed so much in the story was the relationship evolution between Senzou and Manipachi. The witty banter amongst the two added a light comedic air to the overall arch of the narrative. The artwork depicting the tail of the once-great spirited fox was truly exquisite. If you are unfamiliar with Japanese Fantasies and are new to reading the genre; it may be hard at first to understand all the mythical creatures and the history behind them. Overall, I am very intrigued to see where the story continues in future volumes of the series.
