Beach Read by Emily Henry

5 star I had so much fun reading this book. It's a new favorite of mine. The two main characters are both funny and cute, all at the same time. One of the characters, January, is dealing with the death of her father. After his death, January finds out about some secrets her father left behind as she's trying to write her next book. The other character, Gus, is a...

This book chronicles their everyday life together whether it's just watching tv or eating a meal.                                             ...

5 star The way they created the vampires was very unique. I loved the way they gave the vampires their own special language. I enjoyed the book so much. I got so attached to all of the characters immediately.                                               ...

Dear Girl by Aija Mayrock

5 star This is a poetry book for women. It deals with a lot of different topics such as the #me-to0 movement, the right for a woman to decide who she wants to share her body with, as well as, a woman's right to be heard, just to name a few. I really liked that the book was narrated by the author because it made it feel more impactful coming from her the way she wanted it to come across.

It Came from the Multiplex: 80s Midnight Chillers

3 star This short story collection was a hit and miss for me. I wished some of the stories were a lot longer and some I wished were a lot shorter. I was introduced to a few new author's that I'm looking forward to reading more from. Here is a list of the stories I enjoyed the most: Negative Creep by Alvaro Zinos-Amaro Helluloid by Dayton Ward & Kevin Dilmore Creature Feature by Gary Jonas The Devil's Reel by Sean Eads & Joshua Viola On The Rocks By K. Nicole Davis Coming Attractions By Stephen Graham Jones I have given all of the above short stories 4 stars

The Project by Courtney Summers

5 star This book gives you an inside look at what it's like to be involved with a colt and the way a colt leader can manipulate other people's minds and souls to the point where they question everything about themselves and the way the world works. This story follows two different timelines involving two sisters, Bea and Lo, You get to read about the path that each sister takes, past and present. This book deals heavily with religion. I personally am not a huge fan of this but I understand why it needed to be in the book. I really did enjoy reading this book. I give it a 5-star rating and I plan on buying a copy when it comes out. Thank you, NetGalley, for putting this book in the read now section. This book is one of my most anticipated released books for 2021

Killers Keep Secrets The Golden State Killer’s Other Life by James Huddle

5 star This book was very imformative for someone who didn"t know that much about the Golden State Killer. Seeing Joe from Jame's perspective was vey interesting because there were so many red flags that were ignored. If Jame's had mentioned or shared some of the red flags he was seeing than maybe Joe would have been caught sooner and there would have been less crimes committed. I liked that at the end of the book we got some information on other killers who had similar trates.

Better Together by Christine Riccio

DNF at 18% DNF at 18% This book just did not click with me. Both of the main characters just annoyed me beyond belief. There were certain things about the plot that bothered me. I really wanted to enjoy this book because I loved the movie "Parent Trap", as a child, as well as, the movie "Freaky Friday". Overall, I just could not get into this book no matter how hard I tried.

The Shadows by Alex North Narrated by Hannah Arterton; John Heffernan

DNF at 51% I started this book in 2020 and read 51%. I have finally decided not to continue reading it. I did not care for the plot nor did I understand it. I realized that the more I read this book the more confused I became. I really wanted to love this book but I think the author is just not for me.

A Change In Tide by Freya Barker Narrated by Charley Ongel, Tor Thom

DNF at 7% DNF at 7% I hated the male narrator's voice. It was not my cup of tea! I did not like all of the explicit content. It made me feel very uncomfortable listening to it. I really wanted to like this book but I just couldn't"t.
